HPMC
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a water-soluble, non-ionic cellulose ether derived from natural polymer cellulose. It appears as an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder that dissolves in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution. HPMC offers multiple functionalities, including thickening, binding, dispersing, emulsifying, film-forming, water retention, and protective colloid properties. It is widely used across construction materials (e.g., tile adhesives, wall putty, EIFS), paints, pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, detergents, ceramics, textiles, paper making, and agriculture, with various grades available to suit specific industrial needs.
